Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR

The Uhlenhaut coupé - 1955. The world's first gullwing door car – fascination 300 SLR

The 1950s' most spectacular car: modern, elegant and very fast. The 300 SL Mercedes surpassed everything available until then and, with its 300 km/h, left BMW and Porsche in the shade.

No wonder! Under the gullwing's fantastic body is a formula 1 engine expanded to 3 litres. Because the Coupé was actually built for racing; it was intended to be used preferentially in long-distance races, such as the Mille Miglia in the 1956 24-hour Le Mans race. But as Daimler-Benz withdrew from motor sport unexpectedly at the end of 1955, it all happened differently.

Why the name Uhlenhaut coupé? Rudolf Uhlenhaut was the brilliant designer and director of the Mercedes motor sport division in Stuttgart.

This car – a marvel of technology – you can now own for yourself as a model consisting of 1,817 individual parts and reduced in a 1:18 ratio, constructed as a dream model by hand.

One of the finest and most detailed car models of all time, the most outstanding car ever built by Daimler-Benz. A European dream car.

Handcrafted entirely from metal – based on the original construction plans or the original vehicle checked and confirmed by the original vehicle manufacturer. Such fidelity to detail and painstaking care is rare indeed. Open the bonnet to reveal the powerful motor and all details: 8 cylinders with all fittings and complete wiring and cabling. Every detail, down to the last screw, is checked for precise reproduction.
Take a look under the car: faithfully reproduced metal frame, detail-perfect air vents and a rivet structure true to the original. All 4 wheels can be removed via a three-wing central locking mechanism
In the authentically designed cockpit take a look at the dashboard with its full range of instruments, the faithfully reproduced 3-spoke red leather steering wheel.

The fastest road car of the late 50s on your desk. The limited edition Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé captivates thanks to its authentically reproduced bodywork with its brilliantly gleaming finish and the unmistakeable legendary gull-winged doors, as well as the multitude of tiny details that make the heart of any collector beat faster. Cast your eyes on this Mercedes-Coupé 300 SLR and feel the quality and incredible love of detail.

Model car 1:18 “Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, 1955”. 24 x 9 x 6 cm, weight approx. 800 g. With matching display case made from acrylic glass.

Special service: with ultra-modern laser technology we engrave the desired name and message for you on the glass base.
